My Swagga Tour

There has been quite a bit of rumors swirling around concerning the Mid West Flawless My Swagga Tour. Many believe it was a scam all because of what Respect Da Grind has placed out over the Internet in videos. And as I have always been told there are ALWAYS three sides to every story, your version the others version and then well.... there is the truth.

Since June, my office has dedicated a lot of man hours to take care of the issues surrounding the tour so still having to address this issue well let's just say, I am not happy about it. However, there are many people left in the dark and have came to their own conclusions without hearing Mid West Flawless side of the story. So without further a due I will share that with you and leave the rest up to fate.

In April of this year Mid West Flawless decided to put together a tour called the My Swagga Tour. At that time we were working on promoting a Christian artist and one of his songs dwelt with Swagg. After assembling my team, we embarked upon getting sponsors and venues. Mid April we decided to open the doors to other Indie artists because we understood the difficulty of gathering new fans and this tour was designed to bring more exposure to all involved. So this company wouldn't have to take the full blunt of the tour we set prices of 4 states $150, 6 states $175, 8 states $200, 11 states $300 and 14 states was $350. Due to a lot of states wanting to be apart of the tour we added our final package which was all states including future states to be added would be $600.00. After an email was sent from someone in our office promoting the tour, I received a phone call from an individual by the name of David L. He begin to run down his resume to me as to who he was and who he had and was working with at the time. He caught my attention when he stated that he was working on an A&R position with G Unit Record and that they would be willing to put some of their artist on the tour with us and have it hosted by thisis50.com. He went further to state to me that he had 15 to 20 artists that he could put on the tour right now. At that time I stated to him that would be great and provided him with the website that explained everything about the tour. It also included the prices for the tour. This website was designed to answer any questions that anyone would have had and at the end that person would be able to pay directly there. There were also deadlines set of everything needing to be wrapped up by May 30 since the tour was to start June 18th. This deadline was vital due to the fact that it was Mid West Flawless duty to pay for travel. One day over that deadline would cause us to pay more for travel. David L agreed to all of that and off he went. What I had no idea he would do is not direct people to the official website but create craig lists to lure his people in. That in itself is not a problem. But increasing our tour prices, changing our booking agreements without permission, charging people $100 extra to bring more people, taking money and not submitting it to us period, and missing deadlines were HUGE problems when half of the tour artists came from him.

Because of his greed we lost major dollars. The tour began on June 18th and went horribly. To keep our word we spent money on bringing artist up here, placing them in hotels until money ran out and feeding them as best as we could. We even had a conference meeting with all the artists we brought to St. Louis along with David L just so he could explain what dirt he really did. There were many in that room that was upset at the fact that David L was the stem of the tour being messed up. Now, however David is very good with talking and has convinced people to see it his way. But what most of his believers don't know that it was just in September when he struck again and took a series of artists for $1300 in the name of the My Swagga Tour. How is this not fraud when our business relationship ended on June 18th after the meeting.

This company is now left with holding the bag of refunding those artists that went directly through our official website. Those that dwelt with David L. will have to seek him out and collect their money back. But its a shame that WE ALL became a victim due to one man's greed. Those that are interested in the truth feel free to request all of the emails and the text communications between David and myself. There is nothing that Mid West Flawless is going to hide. Due to us loosing the shirts off of our backs on this it will take us a little bit to recover and get everyone their refunds back and from this happening on our watch we fully extend our sincere apologies.
